Cannot enable anything from Italy ! Help needed!

Hi, am currently i Italy, my PAYG roaming was not activated, so i am on wifi. I managed to topup account with 15GBP easily with no issues, but i cannot enable any packs neither from app nor from web. 😞 It makes me soo nervous as i just spent 15GBP and theres nothing i can do or use them ! I also reainstalled app with no luck. Also as theres no roaming i cannot enable roaming via sms, and app has no such option... Really really disappointing 😞 Anyone can help me with this taking in mind i only have wifi now ?

You can't enable roaming by text on PAYG. You just need to be sure you had already used your PAYG SIM to make a call or text in the UK.

Did you receive a msg upon arrival telling you about the charges for roaming in EU on PAYG? Did you buy 1 of the "Roam Like Home" add-ons to be able to use your UK pack allowances there?

Sounds like your PAYG SIM may have gone into hibernation due to non-use.

When did you previously make a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.
