Account appears to have been closed and balance taken without notification

I have a pay as you go phone which I have had for many years. The account appears to have been closed and my balance of ~£60 taken without any notification. How do I resolve this?

@bra777 You’ll need to call customer services about this. When did you last use the device to make a call/text ?

Sounds like your PAYG SIM has gone into hibernation & finally deactivated for good.

When did you previously use it for a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.
