I bought a PAYG SIM from ee shop in Tottenham Court Road and now when I topup with £20 the credit for calls runs out almost immediately. How can I get out of this ripoff process and still have the same number.

How much did you pay the shop for it?

What does texting AL to 150 from your no. fully report verbatim (it is free)?

Hi @geo56

Thanks for coming to the community.

Following on from @XRaySpeX's advice, if your credit is running out almost immediately and you are unable to make further calls, it sounds like you may not have a Pack set in place on your PAYG SIM.

By choosing a Pack, this gives you a set amount of allowances for a set price to use over 30 days.

You can see our available Packs and loads of handy tips on our PAYG help page HERE.

Thanks for your info. Unfortunately they didn't tell me about packs and ended up walking out with a 12 month contract as apparently that was going to be the only way to get PAYG charges at a reasonable rate.
Totally fed up with ee. This is the first time as a customer and it will be the last

Thanks for getting back to me @geo56

Just for my own understanding here, are you on a Pay Monthly contract?

If you are then top-ups won't work on the SIM you have. But if it is a Pay Monthly contract, you should have a set amount of allowances to use between each billing cycle.

I wouldn't want there to be any confusion with what you have purchased in store. It might be best if you contact us by calling 150, and we can run through what is attached to your number.

Thanks Linzi. I spoke to customer service and everything now clarified. Seems the option recommended in store is a good one for my requirements so am happy with the service they provided and the product I have purchased.
