How to activate my SIM card abroad? I’ve added £10…

I bought one EE SIM card from Tesco before I departured to China. Now I inserted the SIM card into my phone and added £10 via EE APP. I received the SMS says successfully top up. But I can’t make the call, send the SMS at all. Don’t know how to activate the card.

@ParisYuan I’m surprised you even got the message saying it’s topped up as you have to activate the sim in the uk first and make a chargeable action ie a call or text before you can use a sim abroad. SIM cards can not active on a roaming network it has to be directly on the EE network.

There is some evidence that inactivated PAYG SIMs abroad or even in hibernation can receive texts but nowt else.
