Yes you can, but need to remember to have credit on your account, as it is pay as you go, you already have roaming abroad enabled automatically.

Yes, to use your pack allowances in the EU on PAYG there are roaming charges of either £2.50 / day, by having texted ROAMEU1D to 150, or £10 / week, by having texted ROAMEU7D to 150, to be taken only from your PAYG credit, not your recurring card payment. You will receive a msg upon arrival telling you about these charges for roaming in EU & inviting to take up these options. If you opt to reply neither or you don't have an active pack, you will be paying standard rates for calls & texts & will need to buy a PAYG add-on for data.

Make sure you have already used your PAYG SIM to make a call or text in the UK.
