Do I still have £10 credit for texts and calls after the 30day data runs out?

I have searched and searched for an answer to this very simple question. There is nowhere I can find in any of the various pdfs, queries etc after 1 hour of searching. I just want to know if I still have credit for sending texts or making calls after the 30 day data offer expires - that is all I'm asking...

So I don't have any credit at all for anything at all after 30 days from the £10 top-up.

Since I do not use my mobile for any internet usage except from my landline wifi then it would be a total waste of money for me is that correct? Thank you for your rapid reply.

Then why buy a £10 pack if you didn't intend to use it? You knew it only lasted 30 days. You could've stopped it before it was auto bought.

I think that is dishonest. I was trying to find out what happened if I top up my payg phone with £10 and it was IMPOSSIBLE to get an answer without your help. Please DO NOT ASSUME THAT I WAS A CRETIN and bought a top up without researching. The simple truth is it WAS IMPOSSIBLE to get an answer. Thank you for your understanding nd empathy.

All EE PAYG SIMs come primed with a recurring Pack of allowances ready to bought out of your PAYG credit as soon as it is sufficient. Your last top-up went to buy this Pack.

Text STOP PACK to 150 before you next top-up & you can use the SIM for calls & texts but not data as normal PAYG at standard per-unit rates paid for out of your standing PAYG credit balance.

Many thanks for your patience. When I go to top up my account it does not say anywhere at all that there will be an AUTOMATIC enrollment into a service I SPECIFCALLY DO NOT REQUIRE and THAT MY CREDIT WILL TOTALLY EXPIRE in 30 days unless I TEXT STOP PACK TO 150 PRIOR TO TOPPING UP MY ACCOUNT. This, in my humble opinion, is utterly despicable and downright dishonest.

My solution is to ensure that my credit NEVER reaches £10 - that is the only way I'll be using this phone in future. Bad EE.

Not when I bought £10 credit 14 years ago, and I have always topped up by £10 a few times a year without being forced into buying a pack I do not want. For EE to change their terms without clearly informing me is appalling - reckon I'll use the Tesco sim instead, they are MUCH LESS DISHONEST. I trust EE know exactly where they can put their dishonest terms. And yet another customer is lost due to EE malpractice.

@p3ncp3r5 14 years ago EE wasn’t around and you PAYG credit paid for calls/text and data usage. When you become an EE customer you changed to using packs if you purchased one with the credit this gives you calls/texts and a set data allowance for the price of that pack.

have a look at THIS

If you don’t want to use packs but still have data you need purchase a data add on that will last 30 days and any credit on your account will be for calls and texts only.

Well said, that comment from XraySpeX was very patronising. It doesn't mention that your credit will disappear after 30 days if you haven't actually used it. That is robbery! I have had the same problem, I bought an EE sim in a supermarket and topped it up from a £10 voucher with no intention of using it other than for a text or two and maybe a call if needed. It was for emergencies only. I'm sure EE used to provide payg sims that you could keep for 6 months, all you had to do to keep it live was actually use it at least once in the 6 month period, Apparently it is no longer the case.

By texting AL to 150 it should show you the Pack you have bought with your credit & how much you have left from your allowances until its expiry date.

Text STOP PACK to 150 before you next top-up & you can use the SIM for calls & texts but not data as normal PAYG at standard per-unit rates paid for out of your standing PAYG credit balance.

To save the SIM going into hibernation due to lack of use, just remember within every 179 days (~ 6 months) to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from any Pack or Add-on you might have.

Usage only shows last 30 days - but should show last 60 days as per the usage headline in my account. Somehow I've lost £10 credit but have no way of seeing where. VERY SUSPICIOUS. Because I SPECIFICALLY asked for NO DATA when I topped up IN PERSON, BY CASH, IN STORE, and was assured that that was the case. I seem to have been charged for data that I specifically stated I didn't want. THIS IS FRAUDULENT AND MALPRACTICE IF SO.

Surely you meant to say VERY UNHELPFUL. The site SPECIFICALLY SAYS view usage over last 60 DAYS, but only shows last 30 DAYS. In my case this hides the fact that £10 was deducted for data I SPECIFICALLY DID NOT REQUEST.

Except That DOESN'T WORK - YOU ARE LYING. I TRIED IT AND IT SAID UNABLE TO DO SO BECAUSE I HAD NO PLAN.

So I topped up, in cash, in store and SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR NO DATA, was told that was fine and wouldn't happen.

GUESS WHAT - I WAS CHARGED FOR A DATA PLAN I DIDN'T WANT.

THIS IS MOST DEFINATELY FRAUDULENT AND WILL BE PURSUED VEHEMENTLY. IN THE COURTS IF NEED BE.

@p3ncp3r5 £10 credit on your account can not be used against data usage unless you purchase a pack or data add on with that credit. Credit on your account can only be used directly against call or texts. If you have a pack and top up that pack is automatically renewed unless you text STOP PACK to 150 before the renewal date of that pack, packs are renewed every 30 days automatically if you have credit on your account.
