International texts do not send - error 28

Recently got an EE Sim card PAYG for my phone. Unlimited texts. However, anytime I attempt to send an international text to cell number I know that work normally, I get a failed to send - error 28.

Any ideas?

Is the number you are texting an international number?

If yes, do you have credit available on your account?

@rocdoc54 A unlimited text allowance can only be used for UK numbers and a international text is a chargeable text and isn’t covered by your text allowance.
