i was told after the year clense period i could claim the number back as it would be in the system again to be given out if not already assigned to someone else however was told yesterday EE cant ever reissue payg numbers, even once its out of clensing. Does anyone know why i was told the wrong advice.

i know the number still shows up as unreconized which means it could be free to be assigned now or still in clensing however this number was one i had in 2022 and the last top up was jan 2022. i did keep the old sim card as proof as i was advised to do that as it makes it easier to request it back once the clense step is done with which takes a year.

I am very sorry this has happened, once a number is recycled this may show as available to be assigned to an active account or provided to a new SIM and customer.

Our mobile guides can see if this is available and if this would be possible for you.

So im guessing since its cancelled since october 2023 its a case of waiting around a year again?
