Will buying a Pack using credit override the automatic Card payment, and can the pack purchased using credit then be queued to commence on the usual renewal date?

If you have a recurring card payment set up and add credit this would still take the card payment on the date you have set.

Are you looking to start the pack early?

@Leanne_T : Does that mean that if you have a direct card payment set up then any credit from topping up will only be used for any out-of-allowance (non-pack) use, e.g. MMS sends, calling abroad, roaming charges, ... & maybe calls & texts when pack has run out of them?

No, I am looking to use the available Credit to pay for a plan, instead of using the regular Card payment, assuming that this is possible?

It's my understanding that if you purchase a pack from an existing credit balance, the direct card payment wouldn't be taken until that pack expires and the pack automatically renews.

For this to happen, the additional pack would need to be purchased before the automatic renewal date.

Yes, @XRaySpeX you can.

From Setting Up Card Payments on Pay As You Go | Billing Help | EE - If you use all your allowances (data, minutes or texts) before your pay as you go pack renews, you can buy a new pay as you go pack to start immediately.

Is there a diff between Direct Card Payments & Recurring Card Payments? If so, what is the definition of Recurring Card Payments?

We no longer offer recurring top ups to top up the account balance, just direct card payments which automatically purchase a pack when a current pack expires.

To purchase a pack from your credit, text PACK(value of pack you'd like to purchase) to 150.

E.g. PACK10 to purchase a £10 pack.

So, as long as I carry out the above instructions prior to the recurring card payment date, then no payment will be taken?

What's the situation if there is still credit remaining, but it's insufficient to purchase any Pack?

Pay as you go credit is non-refundable but it will remain on your account until used for out of bundle charges etc.

This is interesting. It can be summarised thus when you have a Direct Card Payment set-up:

The Direct Card Payment will only be used to buy a pack at the time when the proceeding pack expires.
At any other time a pack may be bought from your credit. It will be held pending until the current pack expires & then it will start instead of taking a Direct Card Payment.
