removal of support for 3g plan

i have received a text today on my tmobile pay as you go saying support will be removed in November 2023

does this mean i will be blocked from connecting to 3g next month or does not supported mean not guaranteed to work

3g is been physically removed in march 2024 so will i be able to use it until then or only until November 2023

@tmobileuser2023 You’ll still connect via 2G it’s that 3G is being switched off. 3G is being switched of in stages so you might loose 3G in your area but still get it say 50 miles away until that is switched off

thats good that i will be able to use it until it is physically gone, i was worried i only had a few weeks of tmobile left

Any non-4G phone will continue to access 3G services until the network is switched off in any given area. At that point the phone will use 2G which is fine for calls & texts.

There's no published timetable for when this will happen, beyond the initial trial in Warrington.
