Receiving calls abroad pay as you go

Im on a pay as you go contract. I am currently abroad in the EU and I am unable to recieve calls. Do I need to add roaming to receive calls in the EU?

Is it a new SIM? Did you use the SIM when you were in the UK to make a call or send a text message before going abroad?

In that case, it should be activated for international roaming, @Et30. Do you have credit or an international add-on?

I do not have any add ons.

I have left the UK and made no changes to my pay as you go. I am in my new month until Sept. I have £0 credit.

Sounds like that could be it, @Et30

Receiving calls abroad is a chargeable service, so you'd need credit or a roaming add-on. Check out our roaming tool, pop in details of your plan and the country you're in and it will let you know what you need.

You don't need the add-on if you're happy to pay the per minute/text rates, @Et30.

Have you tried manually connecting to a different available network?

Did you receive a msg upon arrival telling you about the charges for roaming in EU on PAYG? Did you buy 1 of the "Roam Like Home" add-ons to be able to use your UK pack allowances there?
