Using data add-ons in the eu

I am a PAYG user. I don't use packs or pay monthly, when I want data I just buy a data add-on. Until now, they always worked in the EU

With the new roaming charges for the EU, if I have an active data add-on purchased in the UK what will happen -

A. My data addon will still work in the EU but I'll be charged a flat daily rate whenever I use it (£2.29 or possibly £2.50, I've seen both mentioned on the EE we pages) or buy a roam abroad add on for £15 for 7 days?

Or
B. My add-on won't work in the EU but I can buy an 'eu data addon' once I'm over there. (If so, how)?

Or something else?

@Steve352 You’ll be charged the day rate or you’ll need to purchase the roam abroad add on. You’ll need credit on your account to pay for the day rate and if there is no credit on your account it’ll not work.

It doesn’t matter what data add on you purchase if you don’t have credit for the day rate or purchase the roam abroad add on for 7 days
