Cannot dial even 150 to EE, cannot send SMS

I just ported my number from Giffgaff and EE said transfer completed. I am now monthly paid and credit £10, surely with minutes and credit remaining. although I am in Hong Kong but i cannot make or receive calls, when i dial 150 it says the number you dial outbox. i did receive SMS from 150 but i ecen cannot reply a test, it sends fail.

what so wonder. my wife holds same ee card and she tries to dial my number it runs to my voicemail box. i soon then got a sms from ee that i had a missed call with no voice message left.

could anyone please help advisevwhats wrong,, thanks

@ken_nx : You sure you are on a monthly contract? Do you top it up? I think, with having a credit, you are on PAYG.

i am sure i am on a subscription plan and i have credit.

no one can dial into me, just runs into mailbox. and i could receive sms of missing calls. but i cannot even reply sms

@ken_nx : You are not on a contract but on PAYG with a £10 pack.

If your no. was ported while you were abroad you can't now use it until you return to UK. EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network before they can be used abroad.

Thanks so much, my number was ported from giffgaff to ee while i was abroad. i feel so difficult now, i cannot answer calls and cannot reply them even thru sms. i still hold my old giffgaff card but i have nothing to do

before i tried to port the number i was not warned this circumstance

I'm sorry to hear that, @ken_nx

Once you're back in the UK and use the phone to make a call or send a text, that will activate roaming for any future trips.
