You then have a further 3 months to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack or add-on.

Hi,

I've just got myself a free EE data SIM for occasional use in a 4G wifi router and I wondered how often I need to connect it to the EE network for it not to expire / hibernate? I can't find this information online.

Thanks in anticipation...

Thank you @XRaySpeX I had the same question and your answer is very helpful and specific. Our family has EE PAYG/Prepaid SIMs that we use for trips to the UK from the US. Do you have any suggestions for the simplest minimal action we could take from the US to keep the SIMs alive?

I'm guessing we could just turn off our usual AT&T SIMs and turn on the EE SIM and send a text message, then reverse those actions to reactivate the AT&T SIM. Is there a more streamlined way to do it?
