Adding credit to someone else’s Pay as You Go Phone

I want to put some credit on my 93 year old Mothers Pay As You Go phone, is this possible. Or could she keep her number and could I take out a very basic subscription?

Yes, you can top up someone else's phone at My EE - Anonymous Top up.

She would be able to keep the same number if she moved to pay monthly.
