My pay as you go phone won't send text messages anymore.. It receives messages from people but won't send. No issues with making or receiving calls and I have credit on the phone.

For sending texts, check your phone's Messaging app has the Message Centre no. setting for EE as +447958879879.

I have just checked the EE settings as you suggested. The phone appeared to only have half the number listed. I have now installed the complete number and can now send messages. This is a huge relief as the phone belonged to an 88 year old so very much appreciated.
