SMS while abroad

Hi, I'm temporarily living in France, so I sometimes top up my phone to keep my number. I have the same number for many years.

I've topped up today but cannot send or receive any SMS from the UK. It used to be alright, but now it's not working.

Do I need to get something to do with roaming?

Any help would be appreciated.

How long ago is it since you used your phone to make a call or send a text? Just topping up will not keep it active.

It looks like it may have gone into hibernation, if this is the case, you will have to get in touch with customer service to reactivate it.

You can do this by clicking on the contact EE and using Skype there is a free number you can ring, look at ringing customer service UK.
