I'm having the exact same issue in the Burscough area. There was permission granted to place the new mast across the road from the train station where the Tesco is back in September last year and absolutely nothing else has come from it. I spoke to EE today on the phone and they've not got the foggiest clue themselves on when the new mast will be put in.

It's an absolute farce!

Hi there,

I run a business in my area burscough, which is located in west Lancashire. The area has been struggling for a while now with for service due to no mast. I am enquiring about the possibility of getting a mast installed on my business property?

Can anyone help me in how I could possibly go about this?

Thanks

The process for installing new network sites isn't an application process as such, although an interested landlord is often a good start when a search is underway.

Network sites aren't built specific to any specific "G", but are multi-technology carrying combinations of 2G, 4G & 5G. I can see coverage just north of the Burscough area looks variable across multiple operators, which makes me wonder if local authority planning consents are also a factor.

Frontline CS won't be party to network rollout plans or potential install/go-live dates.

There could be all manner of legitimate reasons for the delay in constructing a new site. Landlord or other legal issues, delays with civil works preventing groundworks from progressing, highways issues that could prevent or delay a road closure, and a few more besides. None of which would be briefed to frontline CS agents.

Your best bet is to keep an eye on roadworks.org for upcoming highways permits.

Because how does it take nearly a year after getting permission granted to place a new mast? That's why it's insane.

An entire town is struggling without signal for the past 10 months, yet there seems to be not even a whiff of urgency to get this fixed.
