Hi EE Network Service Support

I was wondering could EE make Satallite that allow EE Custoumoer to use Satallite Phone instead of using a cell tower to prevent any signal dropping many people have this issue to so I was wondering is there any new tech that has came out yet for EE so people can reline on the EE Satallite up in space for those who on EE Network Provider so they can use there phone that has built in Satallite dish reciver buit into the phone that people can use as in to make calls, reciving text, using there Unlimted data allowence to.

Then Everyone can have much better service and clear sound no crackling on the mobile phone and no Echo at all and is complete safe and fully encrypte to so no one can listen into other people conversation at all plus user need to be safe and conferdent to be able to use there mobile phone with out people listening into other people conversation to.

I would liked to see more tech for EE too.

Hi @Pioneerdjme

As per your last message: https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Mobile-Network-discussions/Mobile-Network-upgraded/td-p/1528063

https://ee.co.uk/broadband/satellite-broadband

EE are (like others) exploring using starlink this this is cheap enough to but yourself. I am not sure you understand the logistics, cost and keeping a satellite in low orbit over the UK which would still not cover the UK. This is why Starlink have hundreds of satellites.

Thanks

The current satellite service being promoted by O2 only offers data service and does not support voice calls. EE already use satellite backhaul in some remote areas to connect land-based radio sites to the core network.

The clear call quality you refer to, is already available via wideband HD/HD+ voice codecs, anywhere there is 4G coverage - and in many remote locations, EE remains the solus operator. Mobile network traffic is securely encrypted over the radio link to prevent eavesdropping, I suspect you're maybe thinking of the original analogue TACS networks that predated 2G.
