If you've not done so already, try toggling flight mode to ensure your phone hasn't "dropped off" available coverage. Do other EE users locally, have similar issues?

Use the "check service status" option on https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile-coverage-checker in the first instance, to check for local service outages. The "report a problem" link should be used if no issues are reported but EE users continue to have issues.A loss of coverage will remove the ability to make/receive calls, send/receive texts or use mobile data.

If you're in the UK and have a WiFi connection, you can use WiFi-calling to keep using your phone as normal without needing network coverage.

Hey there @Julieh60

Welcome to the EE Community!

You mentioned having tried everything here, but there are a magnitude of factors that can influence your loss of service, and the best way to recommend troubleshooting is to narrow down the root cause.

You've not mentioned if you're aware of any other EE users experiencing the same issues - this can help us identify if it's down to the network.

The 2 way SIM test @bristolian mentioned is one of the best things you can try too, as this will isolate the fault to the SIM or the handset.

Once we know where this lies, we're better equipped to investigate from there.

Peter

Is it on contract or PAYG? If it's on PAYG ...

Sounds like your PAYG SIM may have gone into hibernation due to non-use. If it has, topping-up now would be too late.

When did you previously make a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.
