No service out side please help

i had a sim and phone working fine .then when outside I couldn’t text or what’s app only call on occasions.thought it was my older iPhone so I bought another x same was still happening so I ask we for a new sim,same number . It’s still happenening .my mum sends me data each month which I don’t receive until connected to Wi-Fi

WhatsApp is just an internet app which uses a data connection - that can either be WiFi or mobile data.

If you're able to use WA outside with no WiFi, it follows that you're using EE's mobile network. What's the problem you're having with sending text messages?
