Constantly losing 4g / 5g but still have signal

For the last month or 2, my phone keeps cutting out the data service. I still have signal bars but the 4g or 5g disappears and I have no internet. I have unlimited data on my sim and it happens in various locations so not an issue with the local network.

It’s very frustrating as there seems to be no reason why. Is it a problem with my phone?

2G, 4& & 5G are the radio technologies that provide coverage - so it sounds like if your phone still has signal, that must be 2G.

Can you still make & receive calls when you believe your phone has coverage? The 2G network is capable of voice calls & text messages, alongside very basic data - so this would potentially explain your symptoms.

Sorry to hear you're facing an issue in various locations. It may be worth testing your SIM card in an alternative phone if possible to rule out an handset problems.
