iPhone 14 5G Standalone Restriction?

So I joined EE Full Works a wee while ago with the ambition of using 5G SA where available, however I didn't realise that unlike O2, EE seem to have some hard restrictions on what devices can actually use NR only!

I don't understand why EE have decided to keep Standalone tied up behind restrictions where as on O2 as long as the sim supported it, it would connect.

I've since ordered a replacement sim as I'm currently on an esim and will see if this makes a difference but otherwise not exactly happy.

@GimmeSum5G IPhone 14 does not have 5G standalone, it seems from the list of phones that have it, it is only the 15 and 16 series that are compatible with it ,.

I understand your both reading from readily available information on the EE website but it isn't the answer to my question really is it!

Also I must correct that the iPhone 14 Pro does support 5G Standalone and there was even a user who had it working on their iPhone 14 , see link below....

So unless anybody can share information not available on the support section of the website, I would ask that you not bother.
