I would suggest if you are changing to another network, you get a pay as you go from that network and make sure that it works otherwise you may be disappointed.

It also depends where you are, 2 bars should be enough to make calls, not sure why you are having problems answering calls .

Have you checked here to see if there is a problem where you are , registered, reported and then you can receive updates too:

https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile-coverage-checker

Also if inside a building, then no network can ensure good coverage, this is why wifi calling exists.

I’m the one where I live that’s the 1% not covered!

losing faith in EE big time drop outs and network disruption and coverage is terrible lately

Same here. Every time I see an ad with Kevin Bacon, I just want to throw something at the TV. I have zero idea how EE can state everything they do, the awards they win etc?? It baffles me. With my mobile, I’ve never had more than 2 bars & important calls just go straight to voicemail when it’s right next to me?? So I am finally done with EE. No exaggeration when I say I have been lied to every single year and it’s infuriating. Cancelling everything with them. Such a relief.

The >99% coverage figure quoted by all networks, is for population coverage not geographic. The last figures I saw for 4G geographic coverage were around the high-80s, with EE having the largest 4G footprint of all UK networks. That's not to say that every network has good and bad areas, which is only natural.

There is never a need to be concerned with "only one bar" or "I’ve never had more than 2 bars" - the indicators are a rough guide and nothing more. You can have poor service with full bars as easily as you can have excellent service with one bar.
