Knowing that you can keep in touch with friends and loved ones even if your data’s run out is one of those little things that just makes life better.

That’s why Stay Connected Data comes included in our No Frills and Essentials plans.

How it works

Stay Connected Data runs at a slower speed, but it still works perfectly for calling, texting and using apps like WhatsApp and Maps.

It automatically kicks in if your monthly data allowance runs out and lasts until next month’s allowance starts. And if you want to get back to full speed sooner, you can buy a daily or monthly data add on.

I have gifted 20GB to one of my phones, but I'm still seeing this message "Using stay connected data" which warns of a slower connection. Why did I be warned of a slower connection?

So either the message wrong?

Or Gifting Data is of no practical use, because my connection is penalised on a phone that has run out of its own allowance, even if there is plenty of available data?

Did you receive the message after gifting data?

When you log in to your EE account online can you see the 20GB gifted data active on the number you gifted to?
