"Just one bar" does not automatically correlate to "no proper connection" - on-screen bars are a rough guide to service, and not the be-all-and-end-all.

No network guarantees a 24/7/365 fault-free service, sometimes maintenance & upgrade works do require outages. They're always kept to a minimum.

The status checker has an option to "report a problem" if no known outage is reported but you continue to have degraded service.

is there anyway I can speak to a person, rather than robot. I have had no mobile phone connection since Thursday, with notice on website saying work in my area. Says to use WiFi but that’s useless when I’m out. I’m missing lots of calls and when I return home (WiFi) lots of messages. Now work has finished and still no proper connection, just one bar. Reported to robot and reply is just work has finished and I have full service after restarting my phone.

Hello @JG129 ,

Welcome to the community,

You can ring customer service and then press option 2, you should get through to a person, although not sure what you expect them to do when you are out and about, not sure they can tell you when the work will be done.
