If you've not done so already, try toggling flight mode to ensure your phone hasn't "dropped off" available coverage.

Use the "check service status" option on https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile-coverage-checker in the first instance, to check for local service outages. The "report a problem" link should be used if no issues are reported but EE users continue to have issues.A loss of coverage will remove the ability to make/receive calls, send/receive texts or use mobile data.

If you're in the UK and have a WiFi connection, you can use WiFi-calling to keep using your phone as normal without needing network coverage.

I've checked the status and it shows issues for the last 3 days and says "we looking into a problem in your area", but zero explanation what is going on. I don't have WiFi, I have EE sim card with unlimited data, so I can use it also as WiFi at home, and now I can't do anything. I am writing now from a o2 phone, because it is my only option to keep in touch.

Yes, I've been doing that since Wednesday, today is Monday, so it's been almost a week without any service at all or super slow, that even websites doesn't open properly. They are still "looking into a problem in the area".

I managed to contact EE on the chat, but it didn't help with anything really, they just placed a complaint in my name about it. And had just questions and advice to restart etc my phone. The phone works completely fine if I am somewhere else, but I need it to work at home.

Thanks for the update here @Agnieszkarz.

I'm confident we'll get this sorted as soon as possible, but in the meantime I'd definitely recommend looking at the WiFi Calling option @bristolian mentioned in his earlier post.

This uses your home internet connection in place of the cellular signal to carry your calls and texts, but otherwise you use your phone the exact same way you always would.

Keep us posted on how you get on.

As I mentioned before, I am using the sim card as a wifi at home, I don't have broadband here, as here is no fibre connection yet, so I don't have any other option.

I'm stuck with it and I am now starting to regret I didn't go with other provider... How there can be problem for 5 days and there is zero explanation what is the reason for that and when it will be fixed?

I will try to go to EE store after work to talk to somebody, hopefully I can make it before they close... Because seriously I never had so bad experience with any broadband or mobile provider in my life.

Thanks for explaining there @Agnieszkarz.

I really see where you're coming from with this one, but with network faults these can occasionally be complex and take longer than expected to resolve.

Our store should be able to help connect you with a member of our team to take a closer look into things, though.

The SIM is what allows your phone to connect to a mobile network, I think what you're saying is that your home WiFi is provided by using your phone as a hotspot.

Unfortunately, if you have all your in-home connectivity provided through a single point - and there's a fault with that point - then it stands to reason that you do lose service. All mobile networks keep downtime on the radio side to a minimum, but none will offer 24/7/365 100% uptime.

I don't understand what are you saying... They offer unlimited data sim card and mobile broadband, right? I am paying for it to work.

I know there can be issues time to time, but not 5 days in a row completely nothing, zero coverage.

Well, the store staff is laughable really. The guy opened EE website and said that he can see only his postcode in the mobile coverage area, so I said to him where to put my postcode, and then he said that it shows the same notice as on my phone. Seriously, it's the same website, how he would see something else there?🤦🏼‍♀️

Then he said that he can't do anything and he can only advise me to call customer service as soon as the service will be back to ask for a refund for the days I didn't had the coverage. Really, I have no words.
