Phone: Pixel 8 Pro running Android 15

Hi All,

I was advised to upgrade to the "All Rounder" plan which includes the add ons "Network Prioritisation" which helps with speeds in congested areas and I also have the "5G Standalone" enabled according to my plan details.

Since moving to the new plan I have never once been able to see "NR SA" in sim details, I am always connected to "NR NSA". I've been on the plan for around 1 month, since then Android 15 was released which made no difference and with more threads appearing on the EE forum about 5G standalone I've also tried to replace the esim within the EE app which for some appeared to help but it hasn't worked for me.

I have contacted EE but it is extremely hard to find somebody knowledgeable with 5G Standalone, however I have had confirmation that the masts on my area state they are 5G Standalone so there should be no issues there.

Can anybody chime in why I'm not able to connect to 5G Standalone? Most threads appear to be IPhone related with very little Android input.

Good morning @MrSweetFibre.

Welcome back to the EE Community!

At present the TCL 50, Moto Razer 50 Ultra and Moto G 85 5G are live on 5G Standalone as well as EE 5GEE WiFi and 5GEE Home.

The Samsung S23 & 24 line-up will be EE 5G Standalone enabled with VONR shortly, with further smartphones from Samsung, Microsoft, Google, Sony and others due to be enabled in the coming months.
