Onscreen signal bars are only a rough guide to service, often different phones can give differing readouts when being served by the same site - hence it not being the be-all-and-end-all. Also fewer bars can often be caused by using high-band carriers which will give better data service than "more bars" on low-bands.

What service issues are you having, which you believe are being caused by the perceivably reduced service?

As I said in the original post that PlusNet whobuse EE signals were always full bar on this phone yet ever since I came to use EE who told me that PlusNet only got about a 3rd of the strength EE customers get so why was this phone full with them uetnonly 1 bar with this company then why I can't get an answer yo a simple question is beyond me.

There are no problems as I said all over tg8s city I struggle with a signal on EE but never had that problem on PlusNet yet nobody from EE will even help to find out why some helpful company this is may as well find someone else again..

There are various reasons why onscreen bars can differ between two phones.

To move from speculation into a reasoned answer would need the two phones side-by-side and a comparison of specific radio parameters. Can you arrange this?

I refer you to my previous post, if you want anything more than a vague speculative answer. - should be able to perform the test on 2 phones or single device with dual-SIM slots. Happy to explain the radio parameters you'd be looking for, and how to find them - much easier on Android than Apple though.

As suggested twice previously in this thread, are you in a position to have 2 phones side-by-side, or 2 SIMs in the same phone, one with the perceivably weaker signal? That would give an opportunity to compare some specific radio parameters to identify the reason for this issue.

Your alternative is to swap SIMs between a "working" phone and a "non-working" phone and see if the problem follows the SIM or remains with the phone.

No I do not use 2 phones or SIM cards as my old number was transferred to EE within a couple of days as I said PlusNet piggy back on EE's signal which I was told is weaker that EE's which is wrong with the other company it was full signal even in the city centre where EE's signal is no more than 2 bar anywhere I go and the 5G masts are just over the road from my house so either EE are lying about there signals or their employees do not know the truth about it not blaming you I blame EE and BT who own this company and BT do not care about any as long as they get their money which is why I believe I made the wrong choice to move here because PlusNet had good offers for SIM card only deals for their customers as they are shutting their mobile services down so EE are lying about their service and how much stronger their customers signals are.
