Release Jack O Sullivan’s cell mast data

Jack o’ Sullivan disappeared after a night out on 2nd March 2024. EE have refused to give the cell mast data to Jack’s family, despite the phone being registered to his mum Catherine.
COME ON EE time to give the data to the family, this will solve so many unanswered questions that they’ve been experiencing.

we need to put the pressure on to EE to give the data to the family, this will solve so many unanswered questions that they’ve been experiencing.

I would like to believe my phone company WOULD furnish this information if it happened to my family - Its the reason all my childrens phones are registered in MY name.

EE, can you confirm this is correct? That you will refuse to furnish this information if one of my children went missing.

Data protection as EE like any company cannot just hand out information that is why the police or a solicitor via the legal process can obtain this information. As this is a missing person I would be surprised if the police don't already have this information.

The police have been issued this data but they’ve let the family down repeatedly, including missing his last sighting on CCTV, and are stonewalling the family and their advisor.

The police themselves have told the family that they can’t give them the cell mast data, and that they will need to obtain it from EE. The family have a decorated missing person’s advisor, a private PI, and a private specialist cyber investigation team working with them, and are hitting about against brick walls.

What would you do if your son was missing? Give up?

Besides, the EE account is in his mum’s name.

They are working with a lawyer too to cover every avenue.

Go to court and obtain it legally via a court order.

Spamming EE community forums isn't going to help your cause and while I sympathise with your cause obtaining this information legally is the best option.

It is information on a phone in HER name. The police have said EE need to give it to them. EE say the police need to give it to them. They COULD go the legal route but that takes TIME. And time is precious in this case.

As this is a police matter the police have this information if not they can request it. EE do not track phones or give out last known locations of devices to the public unless they are required to do so via the police and that information is given to the police not the public. Regardless of whose account the device is on.

If EE are requested by the police/court order/other legal authority to give this information then it’ll be given to that legal authority and it’s not down to the public to request or demand that information and EE do not have to provide it. At least do it legally and the correct way.

and just to add the name @Everyone is someone user name so you are actually tagging in that user not the whole user forum. That’s why it’s green.

His phone continued to be live on the network until 6:44 am.

So the last know location of the device is known.

There are strict processes in place governing personal data, just as there are covering police & legal authority's access to the same. Breach of these would leave any operator open to legal action, and rightly so.

EE will operate within the terms of their licence and all prevailing legislation.
