Request a new mast

Recently a local resident was take seriously ill in Limpley Stoke, Wiltshire. Paramedics came and took an ECG. They could not then transmit this to the hospital because there was no mobile signal and they are not allowed to use domestic WiFi for security reasons. One of the paramedics had to drive up beyond the viaduct to get a signal. Luckily the resident survived.
Apparently, if you can show sufficient numbers of people do not have a mobile phone signal, some sort of relay mast can be requested. Would it be possible for someone from BT/EE to contact me to tell me how I go about this? Many Thanks

Where have you heard or been told this?

Network rollout in the UK is generally initiated by internal planners' awareness of poor coverage areas, rather than public requests. If anything, the paramedics here will be much better placed to request new coverage, due to EE's ESN contract.
