I have recently moved to EE from Plusnet but I am receiving no service anywhere. I never used to get any in the house, as I live in a granite cottage. But I did used to get it in the garden. I've also driven to many places within around 50 miles of my home and am getting no service at all anywhere.

I am in Penzance, Cornwall. I've checked the service for this area and it's stating all should be fine. I'm using an Oppo Reno Z that is approximately 5 years old now.

Is this a service issue or is there something I can do with my phone to improve the signal. I really need it running properly before the weekend as I'll be travelling up country. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

As far as I'm aware other EE phones are working fine here. My phone does not work at my house, nor anywhere within a fifty mile radius.

That begins to sound like your phone may have a fault. A 2-way SIM swap would prove it.

Put your non-working SIM in a working phone - what result?

Ok, I've tried my SIM in a different phone and I am getting a signal. So it appears I may have an issue with my phone. What would be a good place to start looking? I've run ccleaner. Are there any settings I should check?

And, thanks for your help

The only test worth trying is a manual network search, to see if EE is listed as an available network.

That would make some difference as to what the underlying fault might be.

I've tried going through all the settings but can find no options to choose a mobile network. The only thing I could find is here where it says 'Carrier: No services'.

I've now somehow managed to get this to read 'EE' instead of 'no services'. However it won't make any calls, keeps saying the numbers I am dialing are invalid.

I've ended up doing a full factory reset. Took a while to back up and then reload stuff but it seems to have solved the problem. I can now make and receive calls and use roaming data.

It seems the reason I was getting 'invalid number' when I tried to make a call was because I also now have an issue with my landline. When it rains it pours, but at least my mobile is working again.
