Just found my 3g os being turned off soon. I live in the back end of beyond . What happens to people like ma and otheres and rely on phones. I have mental health issuse and cant afford anothe phone

In many rural locations, 4G coverage already exceeds that which 2G or 3G provided.

3G switchoff is now complete across the UK mainland, and any non-4G phone will be using the 2G network which is quite capable of calls & texts.

If you text ‘Handset’ to 150 the reply will let you know if your mobile phone already supports 4G or 5G and get advice on how to upgrade.
