Hey guys,

I just switched over from O2 to EE and im having a few issues. My first day back at work and i have no/very little signal, its so bad that i cant even get the EE app to open. When i switched over i gave EE my pac code and was told my number would transfer over within 2 days but i'l still stuck on the number that came with the sim card and now my imessages and facetime are no longer working as its stuck on verifying the new number. Could these issues all be linked to the changing from the supplied EE number to the number i have been using for 20 years? Basically at the moment my phone is a brick and i dont really want to send the EE sim cards back but if this is the way its going to be i will have no option.

Two separate issues here.

1: A port-in is actioned the following working day after the PAC is submitted. If you provided this as part of the purchase process, it's deemed submitted on the day you first insert your new EE SIM and switch your phone on - all presuming before approx 4pm. With all this in mind, which day did you first use the phone with your new EE SIM?

2: Does your coverage broadly match the predictions on https://coverage.ee.co.uk/coverage/ee ? Do you only have this problem indoors in one location?

Thanks for your quick reply. I ordered the Sim on Thursday which arrived on Friday lunchtime and put into my phone. When i was ordering the sims the agent told me that the PAC request's had all gone through, so maybe it should all be set up by Monday/ Tuesday?

The coverage on the newtwork checker says "i should get great coverage outside and good coverage indoors" but on my phone i only have 1 bar of signal, i havent tried it outside yet at work but i dont have any issues at my home location

To me, this sounds like your number port has begun if your account with O2 is being closed. Once completed you should receive a text from EE.

Does your phone show 4G or 5G when experiencing poor signal?

When outside of work and in a different location does your phone work as it should @kev_w?

If yes, I'd recommend reporting a problem using the Network Status Checker so our team can investigate this.
