      <description>&lt;P&gt;Any 3G phone already has the ability to use 2G whenever there is no 3G coverage. Equally most smartphones released in the past few years will already have 4G as a matter of course.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;All that will happen post-3G-switchoff is that there will be no 3G coverage anywhere, and either 4G (as appropriate) or 2G will become your sole coverage. As already mentioned, knowing what phone you have is crucial to giving better advice.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
