How can I "apply" to get a small cell installed ?

I live in a small group of new houses in the country in North East Fife. We are in a bit of a dip so we get an awful signal. I took some measurements with the Signal Strength app on my iPhone around our 'hamlet' and the best I got was -110dB down to -120dB. My house ranges from -115dB to -120dB. Not sure about people further down the road but I can't see they will be any better.

So how do I get radical improvements to my signal strength? Seems like an application for a small cell of some sort? We have a bit of ground under our control with power nearby. Not sure what makes a good site though.

How do I progress this ??

To add, installation of new network sites isn't an application process as such.

If an operator is looking to install a new site in a given area, then they will search for locations that have the necessary access, power supply and likely coverage footprint.

Planning consents will be required, as will numerous legal agreements - an interested potential landlord is always a start, though.

How do I get some sort of signal then? -115db to -120dB isn't a signal, its noise? 😀

So-called notspots in rural locations are a frustration in many areas, you might want to read up on some of the cross-industry initiatives that are tackling these.
