mobile data not working with full bars

I started having issues 2 weeks ago with my signal and data. I would get emergency calls only and no signal sometimes and even when I had what showed as full signal on my phone I only got the signal strength of 'e'. if I'm not on WiFi, nothing loads, no texts send. it's like my signal and data don't work. is there anyway to fix this or do I need to call ee directly?

The E indicates you're getting 2G coverage, which would explain the slow data speeds.

Is this happening in multiple locations or just specific ones? If it's area-specific, use "check status" on https://coverage.ee.co.uk/coverage/ee to search for network outages.

when I have the e strength nothing loads still? even if I give it time and chance it's like my data isn't even on. and it's happening in multiple locations different cities etc. I did try the network checker and reported an issue but they found no problems despite my texts not sending and mobile data not working

E signifies 2G, which has very limited data capacity - slow speeds even for simple webpages are entirely normal here.

Have you tried restarting your phone or toggling flight mode?

What happens when you try sending a text message? How about making a voice call?
