Doro 730x setup

I'm trying to set this up but it doesn't allow me to connect to the EE network. It's a new unlocked phone I bought from Amazon and the APN settings appear to come from the sim card. Any ideas why this wouldn't work? The error says can't connect to the network at the moment try later

Are you able to try and select the network manually in settings rather than automatically?

Has this phone worked with another SIM or is this the first time using it?

It's the first time using it and I don't have another sim to try. I tried manually selecting the network and get the same message

The SIM should be registered and ready to go for you, are you able to visit an EE Store to see if they can check the SIM card in another phone for you?
