Many sites not accessible with a private DNS in EE mobile network

When I connect to EE mobile network and have my private DNS turned on in my Android phone, about half of sites don't load (no specific errors, just don't load). Once I turn off the private DNS, everything works.

It happens only in EE mobile network. When I went abroad and used EE roaming, it worked fine. When I connected to wifi or use other carriers, it works fine.

Please advise, if it can be resolved.

It would be interesting to know if you get the same behaviour on 3G service as 4G.

Yes, there's the same behaviour on both 3G and 4G.

UPD:

I've spent about 30min on the call with the technical support checking different settings. What finally helped was resetting mobile network settings in the phone and shutting down the device for about 10 minutes.
