Can you be more specific with "another which shows icons of masts in the area"?

That doesn't sound like the EE website so its accuracy is very likely limited.

If multiple EE users are having problems in an area where no fault is reported, the "report a problem" link should be used.

I also only have one bar. I've just done the EE coverage checker suggested above and it says, for my postcode and phone model, I should have four bars. I'm on a monthly contract. Not sure how to remedy this so any advice would be appreciated.

Hi @AmandaF7

Welcome to the EE Community.

Are you only having this problem in one location or everywhere?

Did you check if there were any reported problems on the EE Coverage checker?

To do this, please enter the postcode and select 'Check Status'

Leanne 🙂

There's nothing inherently wrong with only having one bar - the indicators are only a rough guide and unless you're having problems using your phone, it shouldnt be an issue. Are you having any problems with making calls or using data?

It also sounds like you've used the "check coverage" option on the status site instead of "check status". That searches for known issues as well as letting you report a suspected one.

Hi, Leanne. Thanks for the reply.

I'm only having the problem at home. I spoke to someone in an EE shop yesterday who said work was being carried out in the area and that, if I was still having the same problem by Monday, to go in and they'd give me a new sim - saying it could be the sim or the phone. So, we'll see...

Hi, bristolian - thanks for your reply
I tried two links - the one I mentioned plus another which shows icons of masts in the area. The only one near me was showing red instead of green. I'm not having issues with calls (as far as I know) though occasionally I've been thinking the other person has an issue - perhaps it's me. My issue is not being able to get onto the internet on my phone.
I spoke to someone in an EE shop yesterday who said work was being carried out in the area and that, if I was still having the same problem by Monday, to go in and they'd give me a new sim - saying it could be the sim or the phone. She lives in the area and has had some issues.
