How do i know i have 5g?

been digging through account settings can see if i have 5g turned on automatically.

do i have to get a new sim?

How old is your SIM card and how old is your phone?

You would only need a new SIM card if you have had it for a long time, as that is what I had to do two years ago, get a new SIM card, as it was old and not able to receive 5G, this would be the same if your phone is an older model or does not support 5G.

Are you in a 5G area? Some areas do not have 5G. If your phone is 5G capable, the same with the SIM card, then it should be automatic.

In order to use 5G services, you need 3 elements:

1: To be in 5G coverage

2:To have a 5G-compatible device

3:To be on a 5G-enabled plan.

There's not really any such thing as a "5G SIM"

@bristolian , you are correct about the SIM card, in one respect, but if the SIM card is an old one, that is several years old, then it will not work with 5G, this happened to me, and I had to get a new one, and that is why I wrote that.
