WiFi-calling has been the recommended solution for any indoor coverage issues for many years now, but as has already been mentioned, this is only as good as your router & WiFi-signal.

The service itself is extremely reliable and stable. Properly installed 4G boosters are likely to cost several hundred pounds each, and if your WiFi router isn't providing full coverage of your home that can be rectified at much lower cost.

Hi there,

I live in a village. Until July I had the great 3G booster box that gave me an excellent signal. Now removed 3G totally and not able to get any 4G signal in house or surrounding area. Even with wifi calling poor signal and phone hunting for signal all the time using lots of battery. Pretty disappointed with no help from EE at all. Village Facebook pages full of EE complaints too. What can be done? Are there reasonably priced 4G boosters available for example. Most grateful for any advice/help.

David

[Mod edit: Please do not post personal information on the public board. Thanks!]

Hi @daltom

EE excellent WIFI calling service replaces the old 3G network boxes. EE is discontinuing 3G next year.

Unfortunately nothing can be done although EE are improving their network coverage all the time. Keep an eye on the coverage checker for updates.

https://coverage.ee.co.uk/coverage/ee

Thanks
