Adding a data plan to a second Apple Watch

Hello all

I have 2 x Apple Watch 7, both with an ESim capability

One of them is fine and has the appropriate EE ESim added to it

I want to purchase a second plan for the 2nd watch and despite the EE app saying it supports it when I try to purchase a 2nd plan it errors with code '012'

I have spoken to EE, who are basically hopeless as I have received answers from 'it cant be done' to the possibility i am misreading their own website that clearly states it is possible to purchase a 2nd plan. I should point out this is two watches connected to my Iphone. A configuration supported by Apple

Has anyone been able to achieve the same or can shed any light on this. I can attach a screenshot if that helps
