Received a text from Ee offers about how my sim plan is changing and either I choose their exclusive online offer for new plan or automatically go on a roll over sim plan if I don’t do anything or leave Ee. I want to know if this is a scam text is real firstly as there is no mention on My Ee when I log in about any changes. Secondly if I change to the exclusive offer do I lose all my loyalty discounts etc? If Ee could answer that would be great. Thanks.

It's probably genuine. EE seems to be trying to encourage users off legacy plans onto newer ones. Are you out of contract? Some discounts may carry over, some may not, it depends on the plan you move to and what discounts it already has, and what discounts you have. Any links in the text should be an ee.co.uk domain? May be worth a talk to the upgrades team to discuss your options? Previous texts from people have mentioned a 12 month plan they can move onto.

Are you willing to tell us what plan you're on now and what EE are offering? Always nice to see what is going around.

I have the same issue. I'm also concerned it is a scam text as the link to click on is a http link rather than https.

It's genuine,

My mom had the same as she was on a £5 a month sim plan for years without changing it (Started on £5 but the RPI increases made it slightly more each year)

They offered her a £7 a month plan or if she did nothing it will go up to £15 a month.

I did everything for her and she was put on the £7 a month plan.

Hi, I received the same sort of text and wondered whether it was a scam as I couldn't see anything of note at MyEE, so didn't click on the http link. The link on mine is http://discover.ee.co.uk/O3R41826.

A direct response on this from EE would be helpful, please.

Thanks.

Hi @Christopher_B, thanks for the welcome- good weekend so far thanks, hope yours is too. I included the link in my first message and apparently ee want to put my monthly rate up to £19, which is ridiculous (just over £6 currently). I couldn’t see how to access new plans on myEE, so if this is genuine I’ll just head over to a broker site and get the best deal I can. Have been a loyal ee customer for years.

Looking at the link I'm actually not sure about this one. The best thing to do is have a chat with our customer care team, they should be able to check what communication we've sent you recently.
