Upgrading BT Sport Mobile App to Big Screen. Is it casting only?

I wonder if someone can give me a definitive answer please as EE seem a bit vague.

I have the BT Sport App on my phone as a swappable benefit and am interested in adding the large screen option for £5 a month extra. Is the large screen option casting only or can I sign into the BT Sport app on my fire stick independently and use it that way?

You can watch BT Sport on a big screen a few different ways. You can download the BT Sport app on the devices below and then log in using your BT Sport ID.

An Apple TV 4th Generation and above
A Samsung Smart TV 2015 models or later
A Xbox One, Xbox One X and Xbox One S
PlayStation 4
A Now TV 4K Box, Now TV Stick, Now TV Legacy Black Box and Now TV Smart Box
Amazon Fire TV device
Android-TV based smart TVs
Roku Streaming Players
Chromecast with Google TV

You can also cast from your phone if the situation calls for it.
