Porting number over and new EE sim

So, not the best of starts to my relationship with ee. Received my new ee sim today. Popped it in the iPhone and nothing. Thought I'd leave it a few hours. Still nothing. Got on chat to Tech Support and they said to call the Digital Sales team on 0800 079 0531 with my XKO order reference number however, after being on hold for over an hour, I gave up.

So, I can still use my old Three SIM and my new EE one doesn't work.

What is going on with my order!?

It does work with any number?! I inserted the SIM that I received in the post today and nothing. With regards to the number port, I entered my PAC code when purchasing the SIM so presumed this would start to happen when I inserted the SIM.

Sorry I meant to say it doesn’t work with any number. Just says no network.

I’m sorry, but haven’t I already very clearly stated all of this??? I gave you the PAC Code when placing my order on the EE website. No it doesn’t work with the temporary number. I have also tried dialling the temporary number from a landline and it just says the number is invalid!

When did you place your order, @greencode?

To give us your PAC, you would already need to know your temporary number.

OMG, are you serious! So they the hell do you have an option on your order form for the PAC Code!?!?!? Don’t bother replying to this, I’ve finally after a day managed to get in touch with somebody in EE Tech Support.

As a forum user looking for an answer on something similar I though how ridiculous this answer was.

How would anyone know the temporary number when ordering a new sim and entering their pac?!

you don’t know that until you receive it!
