Phone upgrade out of stock

I ordered a iPhone 12 pro max graphite on 8th march and it said it was in stock. Still not recieved phone 12th March , called Ee callcentre they said it was out of stock and will take between 7 / 28 days

Just checked EE website and its showing in stock !!!!

Can someone explain ?????
