Yesterday I enquired in EE shop about changing my e mail address , the person said if I could take your phone number I will check your account he said then you still have 20 months left on your contract could I please take your driving licence to confirm identity he then returned this plus he handed my wife and myself a Lenovo tablet each saying the company does that as a sweetener for long accounts . Once home I did hear of attempted scams by EE like this eventually I got to speak with someone at EE finding out that my account t is actually finished and that this person had sent in a new account with my signature for the two Lenovo pads . At no time did I sign anything or handed any paperwork . He has copied my signature from my driving licence . Today I am going to return the pads followed by discussion with a solicitor. EE said the best they can do is recommend asking in the shop to cancel the fraud account although they don’t have to . Great Advice
