I have topped up my pay as you go with £5. It seems to be set on default data pack. I do NOT want to add or use my credits for a different pack. Can I just use my credit to send an odd message without time limited (7day or 30day) deals?

Many thanks,

Mari

All EE PAYG SIMs come primed with a recurring Pack of allowances ready to bought out of your PAYG credit as soon as it is sufficient. Your last top-up went to buy this Pack.

By texting AL to 150 it should show you the Pack you have bought with your credit & how much you have left from your allowances until its expiry date.

Text STOP PACK to 150 before you next top-up & you can use the SIM for calls & texts but not data as normal PAYG at standard per-unit rates paid for out of your standing PAYG credit balance.

To save the SIM going into hibernation due to lack of use, just remember within every 179 days (~ 6 months) to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from any Pack or Add-on you might have.

Unfortunately still no luck.
I transferred my credit to Texts add-on in order to be able to sent STOP PACK to 150.
I received a message that my 200 texts is ready to go but unable to send any.
I am already abroad. Could that be an issue?

You did not need to buy a text add-on just to send a text.

Where are you? You can't text 150 outside the EU.

Did you use that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad? EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.

I am in New Zealand. I called EE before I left the country to transfer my contract to PAYG. I explained where and when I’m going and that I am interested keeping my number active.

I was told that I can keep my contract for another 30days for £10 and I will be able to use my planned data/min/texts in NZ. After that, on 19th of April, I will be transferred over to PAYG.

If I had to activate my PAYG in the UK I was missold the product.

Why was I sold a deal to keep my contract for extra 30days after leaving the country if I was interested in PAYG?
