Anytime Upgrade

If I use my anytime upgrade do I have to trade in my current device? The reason I ask is that I have the anytime upgrade on my account but my standard upgrade is due on 01/05/21. I am interested in the OPPO Find X3 Pro and the free gift deal but this expires 27/04/21 and I won't be able to trade my phone in until the weekend. Do I have to go to a store to trade or can this be done by post? Thanks, James.

@TexasPete You can trade in your device by post you just upgrade online.

trying to upgrade anytime smart plan am getting frustrated im over 12 months into my contract so am due a upgrade with no upfront costs . i am no joy with live chat
